Mr Stowlicker

AU 2013
D: Darren Vukasinovic, P: Ignition Pictures

Quiet and withdrawn Mr Stowlicker´s life gets quickly unbalanced by a series of events that force him to react in a way he wouldn´t ever have thought possible.

Closely following the ups and downs of the story, the score for Stowlicker switches quickly between moods and styles, embracing beauty as much as the outright grotesque, bringing together a classical orchestra and a Trautonium (a historical electric instrument of the 1930s) as well as an original chinese pop song, a typewriter, sonar tones and a specially programmed ping pong ball instrument. Oh, and then there are the whales...!

Excerpts from the score:

Rick Jelliffe programmed the Neumixturtrautonium, a modern electronic recreation of the original instrument
